I’m a Scientist is like school science lessons meet the X Factor! School students choose which scientist gets a prize of $1000 to communicate their work.
Scientists and students talk on this website. They both break down barriers, have fun and learn. But only the students get to vote.
This zone is the Organs Zone. It has scientists studying health and disease in various parts  of our bodies. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
Mice have a great sense of smell. They use smell to recognise their families, their babies, their nest, predators and even use it to find their way around. Smell is really important to mice because they have really poor vision.
If you are asking why are they stinky, it’s their urine that smells. Male mice like to mark their territory like dogs, so smell a bit more than female mice. I change the cages of my mice frequently so they don’t smell too much. 😉
