I’m a Scientist is like school science lessons meet the X Factor! School students choose which scientist gets a prize of $1000 to communicate their work.
Scientists and students talk on this website. They both break down barriers, have fun and learn. But only the students get to vote.
This zone is the Organs Zone. It has scientists studying health and disease in various parts ย of our bodies. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
To be honest, there have been times chook182!
There are days when nothing goes to plan, the world seems a little darker and you just want to give up on whatever you’re doing. You imagine: “what if I got into acting/TV?! I can do that!” “what if I got into music? I can do that too!” etc.
No job is without its “ups and downs”.
I am seriously considering teaching or lecturing though at the moment! I currently teach second year university students in developmental biology. Being a part of the “I’mAScientist” program has also further sparked my interest. Teaching has been been great fun. ๐
But what do you think? Should I give up while I’m still ahead?!?! ๐

Hey chook!
Nope, i’ve never regretted it.
I think there’s times like any job or profession where it’s hard to get out of bed and go to work, but honestly, that’s pretty rare for me!
I’m really lucky that I get to do all kinds of things, and work with all kinds of people (doctors, lawyers, mathematicians, chemists, biologists, teachers, students, you name it really!).
What i really like about it is that each day can be quite different from the last, and that there’s always options for trying new things. I that i get to learn something new almost every day!
No regrets, here!
