I’m a Scientist is like school science lessons meet the X Factor! School students choose which scientist gets a prize of $1000 to communicate their work.
Scientists and students talk on this website. They both break down barriers, have fun and learn. But only the students get to vote.
This zone is the Organs Zone. It has scientists studying health and disease in various parts of our bodies. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
Enjoyed the chat today!
I think it will be virtually impossible to build an artificial brain that can work as well as ours. Its just too complicated. I would be shocked to be proven wrong.
I did read that scientists have created a computer, with 16,000 computer processors, which is capable of learning by itself. It taught itself to recognise cats on the Internet.
The network was created by researchers at Google’s X laboratory was intended to simulate the working of the human brain. The computer “learned” to recognise cats among 10 million random digital images found in YouTube videos. The scientists said they never taught the computer what a cat was, but rather, it invented the concept itself.
How useful this is, I don’t know!!
