Question: will the human race still be alive in 100 years? do you think we will evolve into anything? if so what?

Keywords: , ,

  1. Yep, we’ll definitely still be going n 100 years! But that doesn’t mean that we should nt take good care of ourselves, or that we don’t need to look after the earth!

As for will we evolve, well evolution is happening every day and we are slowly changing as we get subtle changes in our DNA! but as for big changes, like from great apes to humans, that’s more likely to take millions of years, not 100 years!

  2. I have no doubt that we’ll be around in 100 years. We’re pretty adaptable. Even if we kill everything else on the planet off, we’ll find some way to survive.

As for evolution…100 years isn’t enough to do much. However, we are evolving right now. Our IQ’s have increased in the past 100 years. Our average height has increased. Our BMI has increased in a lot of countries. We are connected to technology in ways that would have been alien 100 years ago…and our brains have altered to use that technology. So I’m sure we’ll be ever so slightly different in 100 years. But we’ll still be human. Perhaps Homo technologus instead of Homo sapiens. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Evolution takes a looooong time to occur naturally. If there was a catastrophic event, we’d be in trouble for a while before we as a species could adapt!
My answer is yes. We should be fine ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. We’ll be around and yes I think we will evolve.

Sure evolution takes a while, but we are learning more about how changes to our DNA can occur as a result of our immediate environment and this can then be passed down to our offspring.

Father rats that were made to be fat (so their weight is not due to their DNA but their environment) can pass on a metabolic disorder like diabetes to their daughters. The sperm DNA is imprinted by the father’s lifestyles and then passed onto their offspring.

I hope we learn from examples like this and don’t all end up in those hover chairs like the human population living in space in the movie Wall-E.
