Question: Is it possible to make a new animal by keeping bacteria in a condition which in thousands of years it will be a new type of animal.

  3. It depends how different you wanted he animal.
    Evolution happens in bacteria quickly.
    A great example of this is what we call “antibiotic resistance”.
    In just a shirt period if time, the bacteria can get a change in its DNA which means that antibiotics can not kill it any more.

    But if you wanted to see it change into something really different, that would certainly take millions of years!
