This zone is the Organs Zone. It has scientists studying health and disease in various parts  of our bodies. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
Hi micklhs,
I loved dissections in school. Yes, I dissect the mouse eye all the time. I’ve also done rat and lamb eyes.
For my work I’m interested in the cornea, the top of your eye, just above the iris (the coloured part). What i do is cut the eye so that I can split into into 2 lobes, the front of the eye – cornea, and the back the retina. The lens sits inside the retina “cup”. The iris is attached via the ciliary body to the corneal limbus, and can be peeled of to stain and look at.
Hope that makes sense 😀
What dissections have you done? Ever done an eye dissection?!
