I’m a Scientist is like school science lessons meet the X Factor! School students choose which scientist gets a prize of $1000 to communicate their work.
Scientists and students talk on this website. They both break down barriers, have fun and learn. But only the students get to vote.
This zone is the Organs Zone. It has scientists studying health and disease in various parts of our bodies. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
I definitely want to win the most!
That’s why i’m up early answering these questions!!
Honestly, though, i think we’d all like to win.
I’ve decided that if i win, i’m going to use the money to help the pandas at the Adelaide Zoo have a baby. They have been trying for 3 years to get pregnant, but have failed. The really unique thing about pandas is that they can only get pregnant on one day per year, so it’s really difficult. Much harder than for lots of other animals. Mice can get pregnant once every 5 days.
I’d really like to win! It’s been a great experience so far!!

Hi coconuts!
I think everyone wants to win – including myself! so it will be a very important decision that you and all the other students will get to make! “Our fate lies in your hands!!!” (personally I think everyone deserves to win – maybe a 5-way $200 prize? but it might not go far!)
@Hannah, wow I had no idea it was so hard to get pandas to reproduce!

Me too! Pick me
I’m trying to find as much time for your questions and chats. Mainly because I’m having heaps of fun, winning would be a bonus.

I hear that Hannah is keeping a panda baby for herself. And it’s a mutant. And paid for with taxpayers’ money.
See? I’m not above political scheming. Clearly I want to win.
