As Carina said, pores allow gas exchange, you to sweat as well as secretion of oils to keep the skin moisturized. No explosions if they’re covered, but you’d feel so sick you’d make sure you remove the “bonds” and never do anything like that again! 😉

Explosion? from a build up of gas? Nope…. just a lack of oxygen to your cells (which cells need to survive!)
