I’m a Scientist is like school science lessons meet the X Factor! School students choose which scientist gets a prize of $1000 to communicate their work.
Scientists and students talk on this website. They both break down barriers, have fun and learn. But only the students get to vote.
This zone is the Organs Zone. It has scientists studying health and disease in various parts of our bodies. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
In the last few years when I was in America, I researched a few different topics, including ovarian cancer and autism, but I have come back to my great love, reproductive biology and the egg, which I worked on for many years before that! The nice thing about working on something different for a while means that you think a little bit outside the box and maybe thing about your area in ways you might not have before, which I think is very helpful.
I really do love reproduction though, and I think I’m going to stick with it now, although I still watch what’s happening in autism and cancer because I very interested!

Good question.
The thing that interests me is “the question”! The field is not that important.
If I’m looking for a job, I’d love to work somewhere where the question that they’re trying to find an answer to excites me.
Hope that makes sense

Hi sparkle,
I sure hope so.
I love working in the area that I’m working in currently (gut neurophysiology) but there are so many questions and so much to learn that I’d love to research other topics too- especially pathophysiology – the development of diseases.
Thanks for the question!

Almost certainly. I get bored easily. Check out my profile section for some of the things that I’ve done! I like doing new things as often as I can get away with it!
