Question: Do mice have consciousness and do they "think" like us humans do

Keywords: ,

  1. Mice are genetically very similar to humans, with almost every human gene having a similar one in a mouse. Still, they are still very different to us and I don’t think we will ever know exactly what a mouse is thinking. But……
We do know that mice can remember and use the same brain areas as us to do so. We know that their memory capability gets worse with age, like in people too. We know that the back of their brains are important for their vision like us, but their vision is poor and they rely on their sense of touch (with their whiskers) to navigate around. We know that they have a language (like us) but we don’t know what they are saying. The more we study mice the more we will be able to guess about how they think.
