I’m a Scientist is like school science lessons meet the X Factor! School students choose which scientist gets a prize of $1000 to communicate their work.
Scientists and students talk on this website. They both break down barriers, have fun and learn. But only the students get to vote.
This zone is the Organs Zone. It has scientists studying health and disease in various parts  of our bodies. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
Hi datchihuahua22,
Good question. People can decide where their body/ specific organs go when they pass away. Just like organ donation, some donate their body and organs to research. Scientists are then able to use these tissues to look at how things work, and answer questions that can help us understand and in turn help other people.
In short, we do have human tissues. But as these are “precious”, we’ll only use them to answer specific questions or clarify certain things.
Hope that makes sense 🙂
