Question: What would happen if we didn't have many white blood cells in our eyes?

  1. Hi blissy.
Great question! It’s a matter of how much is enough, and how much is too much (!) when it comes to white blood cells in the eyes.Too few, then foreign substances such as bacteria that get into our eye are either not cleared as quickly, or worst case scenario, cannot be cleared which will lead to infection and possible vision loss/blindness. Too many, and there’s inflammation which will cause damage to the structural integrity of the cornea, and worst case scenario your cornea will melt (sorry for taking it that far, but it can happen!)
    Hope that helps. 😀
